first, I took apart the ashtray. I only wanted the top so it was real easy with a hacksaw. i had to remove that little lip the ashtray had so a hand held grinder took care of that really quickly. I then attached the ashtray top using epoxy and fiberglass cloth to the console and started to fill in the gap with body filler. sanded until it was nice and smooth. Took 150 grit sandpaper to the entire console so the adhesive would have something to grab. Got the leather and proceded to cut it to shape. Applied adhesive to both the part and the leather, let it tack dry and CAREFULLY attached it. It was a bit tricky but with a second set of hands to help out it was easy. Trimed the excess and installed.
